Every year the Canadian jerky scene continues to flourish. New producers, new techniques and new tastes constantly appear on the scene. These jerky artisans are raising the bar, and creating healthy mouthwatering snacks. With U.S producers dominating the jerky scene, we are committed to bringing these premium Canadian meats to the Canadian consumer.
We work directly with jerky producers to ensure they follow best industry practices to deliver the best Canadian artisanal jerky available. The quality of the ingredients, the drying process, the meat characteristics and the flavor notes drive our selection process. The majority of the premium producers utilize the Hip/Round for jerky. This cut is very lean, and is ideal for creating low in fat tasty snacks.
Each bag of jerky is subject to stringent requirements. Once a Canadian producer is approved, we curate each flavor according to its Texture, Profile, Flavor and Heat Index.
